I have a passion for people, sport and justice.
Since growing up in the picturesque town of Barkly East in the North Eastern Cape, I have studied at the University of Stellenbosch whilst staying in Wilgenhof, completed my articles as an attorney at the well-known firm, De Klerk & Van Gend Attorneys in Cape Town and pursued a career in law.
After a brief stint as a professional assistant at de Klerk and van Gend Attorneys and van der Ross and Motala Attorneys in Cape Town, I wrote the National Bar Exam and subsequently joined the Free State Society of Advocates of which I was a practicing member from 1996 to 1999.
In 2000 I joined Hans Klopper Inc. headed by Hans Klopper, a well-known corporate restructuring specialist and insolvency practitioner, at which firm I was a director until 2005, when I established Dirk Kotze Attorneys and commenced practising for my own account as an attorney in Stellenbosch.
In pursuing my career as a lawyer and in pursuit of achieving high standards as a professional, I have completed various post graduate qualifications and attended various courses.
